A scarce and attractive Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Serving Dish / Platter, printed in a medium blue from the "Spanish Beauties" series, the Maker of which remains as yet unidentified with certainty, but Deakin & Son of Waterloo Works, Lane End, Staffordshire, { 1833 - 41 } have been suggested as the likely candidate. The romantic scene depicting a group of three figures in a garden setting, the lady disporting herself on a settee whilst addressing two children, the one with a whippet-like dog, is set within a complex floral scrolled border incorporating four small scenic vignettes. No Maker's Marks but the reverse with impressed numeral 4 and underglaze blue printed pre-1837 Royal Arms above the words ROYAL MANUFACTOR.
