This lovely brooch is beautifully decorated with a delightful reindeer and sleigh scene with silver gilt border and ornate corners. There is a good fastening pin on the back.
The back is stamped ''925S'' for sterling silver with the makers initials a backwards ''K'' which has variously been attributed to either Svein Kirkhus or Edvin Kristiansen, both Norwegian silversmiths active in the mid -late twentieth century.
