Description

Chest of Drawers - Walnut - circa 1850

This walnut chest of drawers are in good order.

The Walnut is a pleasing colour and the quality of the chest is shown by the thickness of the timber used and the excellent swept bracket feet. The choice of Walnut definately elevates the chest over the far more common mahogany examples.

The swan neck handles add interest to the look of the piece.

The layout is '2 over 3' with the drawer design graduated as the drawers progressively increase in depth the lower that you look.

Top pair = 15cm height

Second tier = 18cm height

Third tier = 20cm in height

Lower tier = 23cm in height

The chest is in great order and will perform perfectly and look wonderful for many decades to come.
