The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
These panels are infilled with gilt and the inset corner sides are decorated in gilt with vertical flowering garlands. A stylised flower to the centre of the base and finished with gilt rims, handles and foot. Printed mark to the base, c.1885 and marked with the pattern number A4846.

It measures 13cm (5 1/8") wide across the handles, 7.2cm (2 6/8") rim to rim and 4.8cm (1 7/8") high to the rim (7cm (2 3/4") to the handles).
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and remarkably minimal handling wear given the amount of gilding.
