A 19thc Camphor Campaign Trunk

A 19thC camphor wood campaign trunk. The perfect COFFEE TABLE size being 101 cm wide by 51 deep and 51 cm high. Brass cappings and banding and a central lid cartouche. Heavy brass side carrying handles. Working lock AND key. Brass ring pull lid lifter. Interior candle box with lift up lid. Clean, decorative and useful particularly for storage of fabrics, bed linen or clothes due to camphor woods anti moth properties.
 
Inevitable knocks and abraisions from travel on campaign with an old completely stable crack to the lid (see photos). An attractive yet practical piece.
 
101 cm wide by 51 deep and 51 cm high.
