Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The set has one carver chair and four singles, the seats and backs are covered in heavy quality Dark Brown Leather are studded with large brass studs.
The leather is original, it is delightfully shabby but in remarkably good condition, it is slightly worn but other wise it is still quite soft and not cracked or split
The chairs are in very good sound condition, two of the chairs have some wood worm holes in the stretcher so I have had this treated there are no loose joints or other faults
The chairs are 36” high at the back, 18” across the front and seats are 18” high, the carver is 23” across the front
