This charming large mussel shell which has been nicely painted by the artist is of a maritime sea scene featuring ships, the sea and what appears to be Lange Jaap Lighthouse in The Netherlands.

This wonderful folk art piece dates from the 19th century, has very nice detail and has a gilded edge.

A charming decorative painted shell that would look great displayed on a shelf.

Dimensions: Width: 14 cm (5 1/2"). Height: 6.5 cm (2 1/2"). Depth: 3 cm (1").

Weight: 72

Condition: Very good antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age.
