Victorian Leather Covered Travelling Jewellery Box

Description

A charming Victorian jewellery box covered in dark green leather with brass carrying handle and escutcheon. The hinged lid lifts to reveal an interior lined with original green silk and velvet. The inner removable tray is divided to hold rings and small items of jewellery. Larger items can be stored under the tray.

Considering the age of this box, the condition is very good. The interior is in very good, clean order and the exterior has the character and patina that one would expect in a much loved antique item.

A delightful 19th century compact jewellery box in which to house today’s treasures.
