Lovely extra long Chinese Malacca wood and marked silver walking stick or cane.The silver is fully stamped, it carries the makers mark for Luen Hing the date C1910 of Shanghai as well as the 900 grade silver fitness mark.Lovely decoration to the silver top. Detailed chrysanthemum flowers in repousse work that wind around the silver pommel with a planished background.It measures 94 cm 37 inches in length, the pommel is 4.8 cm 1 7/8 inches wideand 5 cm 2 inches long. This length is extra long for the period and must have been made as a commission piece.Mounted on a strong Malacca shaft that is oversize and so will support a good weight.The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel.It''s in excellent condition only some very minor signs of age and use as you''d expect at this age.Some small surface marks to the silver as shown but no holes or repairs.Marks to the shaft as well from age and use but no breaks or repairs.
