In an old ebonised Flemish style frame.
The image depicts Saint Stephen praying in decorative red robes. A halo is above his head, where blood drips down to his face.
The original of this piece is usually exhibited in the Fame Room of the Galleria Borghese in Rome, Italy, no. 065.
With signs of wear consistent with age and use. The painting with minor craquelure. Small losses/chips to the paint. The back of the frame with some holes and staining.
