The watch case is of polished stainless steel which is extremely robust and durable which enables you to use it as an everyday watch or equally for special occasions.
The very rare 39 jewel gold plated automatic movement is an absolute gem and is regarded as one of the finest movements ever made by any Swiss maker during the golden age of Swiss watch making.
The dial and hands are completely original and in outstanding condition showing only very slight signs of aging.
This is a rare and desireable watch which is very sought after by collectors.
The watch comes with a new presentation box to keep it in perfect condition.
As you would expect from Girard Perregaux the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
There are NO inscriptions either inside the case or on the back.
As you can see from the photographs you have a choice of top quality leather straps either in chestnut brown or black.
The watch has just been fully serviced by the respected vintage watch specialist Alan Williams FBHI and is guaranteed to be a genuine Girard Perregaux in all respects. This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then throughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed, in the case of waterproof watches a full waterproof presure test is carried out to manufacturers specification.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
Girod Perrageaux are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that you just don't get with modern watches.
The watch case measures 34mm in diameter.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
