Victorian Silver and Mother of Pearl Fruit Fork by Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1894

Description

This is a delightful Victorian silver folding silver fruit fork in excellent condition. It has a reeded silver ferrule .The handle inlaid with a n initialled navette-shaped silver reserve. Fruit forks are more scarce than fruit knives and it is therefore nice to find an example in such good condition.

Hallmarks:

H&T for Hilliard & Thomason.

Lion Passant.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "O" for 1888.

Dimensions:

14 cm / 5.4 inches open.

8 cm / 3.2 inches closed.

Condition:

Very good condition.

No damage to the mother of pearl.

Dual folding spring mechanism in very good working order.

Good clear hallmarks.
