About the Artist: John Squire (fl: 1867-1896). Known as a landscape painter, he lived in Ross, Herefordshire, also Swansea and London. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, SS (50 works) and NWS from 1873-1896. Titles exhibited include “Watergate Bay, Cornwall, 1873. and “Coombe Park Water, Exmoor, 1896.
