A late 19th century commemorative oak and pewter Daubenkrug lidded tankard. The body with inlaid filigree scrollwork decoration and Royal Coat of Arms, the lid with inset coin of King Gustavus III. The underside of the lid is stamped F Santesson, Stockholm L6. Frans Santesson (1834-1916) was a celebrated Swedish pewterer and the date L6 equates to 1889. Fine original colour and condition.
