Rare Japanese Meiji/Taisho (early 20thC) iron kettle made by Shoundo with beautiful silver & gold inlaid (tsutsumi-de) decoration of peonies and cherry blossom. Signed inside the bronze lid. Height 23cm to handle, 15.5cm to knob, body diameter 16cm, weight 1.95kg.
Excellent condition, no water leakage.
