-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
A completely charming small and unusual 17th century oak press cupboard, having developed a glorious rich colour and patina.
c1680.
The upper section with plank top, over two doors having turned spindles. This section would have been made to store food, with the spindle doors allowing for ventilation, to keep food fresher for longer. The front is delightfully decorated with punch work decoration
The lower section having two panelled doors opening to reveal a single shelved storage area. With working lock and key-not original.
The overall condition is excellent antique condition with expected signs of age and use.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
