Antique English Sterling Silver Heart Box - Reynold's Angels - 1900

Description

A charming late Victorian romantic box, having a magical combination of the romantic heart shape and the famous Reynold's Angels embossed motif on the top.

The sides of the box are heavily decorated with a plethora of repousse work, a really beautiful example. The lid lifts well with the hinge in perfect working order and snaps shut perfectly when closed. The interior has a beautiful and opulent gilded finish.

The box is of course hallmarked, for Birmingham 1900 together with the makers initials L & S for the silversmith, Levi & Salaman.

Excellent condition, measuring 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" tall. 35.8 Grams / 1.15 Troy Ounces.
