Patrick John McMoreland (1741-1809) was born in Scotland in 1741. He worked in Scotland, Manchester and London. McMoreland exhibited at the Society of Artists (1774-1775 and at the Royal Academy from 1776-1782. He trained and lectured on art in 1800. His miniature work was exquisite , and he signed his work P.Mc. Examples of his work are in the Victoria & Albert Museum and also in the British Museum. He died some time in 1809.
