Here we have a superb pair of silver candlesticks in the early Georgian style by James Dixon & Sons Sheffield 1969.
They are a wonderful design as can be seen from the photographs and would sit very elegantly wherever places.
The have the crown mark for the SHEIFFIELD assay office, the makers mark of ''JD & S'' for James Dixon & Sons, the lion passant for sterling silver and the ''B'' date mark for 1969.
They are fully hallmarked to the base, and the underside in the center with the makers mark, Lion passant and the Sheffield crown assay mark and they are also hallmarked with the makers mark and the Sheffield crown assay mark on the outside of the base. The underside on one of the candlesticks is engraved with ICI long service inscription.
The candlesticks are approximately : 4 inches / 10 cm wide x 4 inches / 10 cm deep x 7 inches /18 cm high. The total weight is 955 g
CONDITION: As can be seen from the photographs the candlesticks are in very good condition. Just minor light marks commensurate with age and careful use. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
