DESCRIPTION:
 
This wonderful beautifully carved Black Forest Portfolio stand / Music stand which has the most exquisite carved detailing as can be seen from the photographs.
 
 
The top to the stand has a lovely carved head surrounded in carved branches and leaves. As you move down the stand has been carved as branches. The portfolio section in which documents, music and the like can be stored has a front which is beautifully carved with a Lyre to the centre with an open book over it, then to the top corner are birds whilst to the bottom corners are winged cherub faces, this is all then frames with branches. The front of this section drops down to allow the documents etc to be stored
 
 
The stretcher to the front is also carved with leaves which is wonderful attention to detail.
 
 
The whole piece is mellow in colour and sturdy.

The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are:
 
- 25 inches (63.5 cm) wide.
 
- 36 inches (91.5 cm) deep.
 
- 43 inches (109.5 cm) high.
 
 
CONDITION:
 
The stand is in lovely condition as can be seen from the photographs just minor knocks / mark odd nibbles to the carvings commensurate with age and careful use. There are odd shrinkage cracks again commensurate with age. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
 
Overall this is a portfolio stand, and it would make a superb addition to any home, so happy bidding.
