Description

A Liverpool porcelain tea bowl and saucer by John & Jane Pennington, printed with the "scallop shell and flower" pattern with a "bud and dot" border. Two large bugs are set between the main floral reserves. Unmarked, c.1775.

The tea bowl measure 7.9cm (3 1/8") wide and 4.5cm (1 3/4") high and the saucer is 13.2cm (5 3/16") wide.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair. Both pieces have some areas of kiln dust spotting to the inside. Minimal handling wear.
