This fine quality stamped WMF silver plated sculpture is a rare and most interesting subject. It depicts an early European exploring mountaineer dressed in smart early 20th century country climbing attire. He is modelled holding a climbing pick axe making his way up a steep rock face to reach the summit. This interesting sculpture is in very good original condition with very little signs of wear to the slightly tarnished silver plating which could be cleaned more if preferred. German, circa 1910.
