Karen Tarleton has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The arm ends have carved griffins. The chair in view of its age is in very good condition, there are old woodworm holes which you would expect of a chair of this age and there is rubbing to the wood. The chair is firm to the joint. Please email me if you need any further information. The chair measures 33" high by 28" wide and 28" deep.
