This is a wonderful an rare 8 inch convex dial mahogany drum style fusee wall clock which has beautiful applied carved garlands / leaves around the dial. Both the dial and the glass over the dial is convex and the bezel is cast brass. The movement to this clock is excellent being a very good quality fusee movement. The dial is signed ''Balbiani BROOKLEY S.E.''.
THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC FUSEE CLOCK.
The case is made from wonderful mahogany which has some superb grain and is a wonderful colour. The case has a wonderful patina which can only be gained through age.
If we start with the dial this is a white dial marked out with Roman numerals and signed ''Balbiani BROOKLEY S.E.''. The bezel is cast brass.
The case also has a door to the base which is complete with lock and then there is a further door to the left side which is complete with its lock and there is one key to open both doors.. When the dial needs to be acce...ssed the left door has to be unlocked and opened then a catch holding the bezel is simply released.
The movement itself is excellent being a single fusee movement. The clock is in good working order and is happily ticking away. The clock comes complete with it''s winding key and pendulum.

The approximate dimensions are:
- 12 1/2 inches (31.5 cm) in diameter across the case
- 5 inches (12.5 cm) deep across the case
- 8 inches (20.5 cm) in diameter across the dial
CONDITION:
With regards condition, the clock case is in very good condition and is a lovely color, as can be seen from the photographs. The movement itself is excellent being a single fusee movement, and is happily ticking away. The dial has some marks and chips and is worn in places and a couple of chips have been touched up between III and IIII and at VIII all of which is commensurate with age and use, as can be seen from the photographs. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
This is a wonderful, fusee wall clock which would grace any wall
