DESCRIPTION:
This is an exquisite and most unusual 8 Day ormolu bronze and marble globe clock with a stunning ormulu bronze cherub / putti which is beautifully detailed and very impressive.
The case has a stunning and superbly detailed bronze cherub / putti which is holding the spherical shaped case forming the dial. The globe dial has applied Roman numerals and is embellished with stars and is finished with beautifully detailed hands. The cherub / putti is raised on a white marble circular pedestal which is nicely shaped and adorned with ormulu applied ribbon tied floral mounts with a further border and then raised on four lovely finely decorated feet. The attention to detail is superb as you will note from the photographs.
The door to the rear of the clock can be removed to allow winding of the clock. The movement is immaculately clean as it has recently been cleaned and serviced and is happily ticking away and keeping good time. The clock comes complete with it''s winding key.

The case is in superb condition as can be seen from the photographs just minor age marks commensurate with age. There are a couple of nibble to the marble commensurate with age and use. The movement is immaculately clean as it has recently been cleaned and serviced and is happily ticking away and keeping good time.
