A large, impressive and high quality sterling silver Victorian double cigar case with eye catching engine turned engraving. It has been shaped to fit into a large pocket, it has a very solid feel to handle and a wonderful deep shine.
Superbly engraved crest to the front cartouche.
It is fully hallmarked Sterling silver, 1896 Birmingham.
The makers mark is of A & J Zimmerman
It is in an excellent condition being free from any repairs, damage or denting.
Shuts securely and flush.
The hinge is in good working order.
Some very minor surface wear that is noticeable on a close inspection.
The gilded interior is in good order with the elastic holding strap secure and usable.
Inscription above the hallmarks.

I would say it holds cigars with a diameter of up to 1.5cm.
