Victorian Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet

Description

A Victorian mahogany bookcase cabinet, circa 1870, the upper section with a pair of glazed arch-top doors , the interior with three adjustable shelves, flanked by corner brackets, the base with a single frieze drawer over a pair of glazed arch panel doors with single shelf to the interior, flanked by spiral columns and upon a plinth base.

A very useful bookcase cabinet of good, rich colour. There are some losses to the veneer and the back sides of the plinth base and and a section of moulding missing at the back left hand side, the lock to the upper section is not original.
