N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
These truly are a stunning pair of cabinets which are made from exquisite plum pudding mahogany with lovely grain and are not only practical but are lovely quality. Unfortunately the photographs do not do any justice to the lovely colour of these cabinets.
To the front and sides of the edge of the top of the cabinets is nicely shaped. Below this there are four graduated drawers which have pretty turned knob handles. The drawers are flanked by nice curved corners. The cabinets are then raised on lovely plinth.
These can be used as a bed side cabinet or would equally look wonderful as a pair of lamp stands or side tables with the added benefit of storage. These are not only practical but will add an air of elegance to your room.
As can be seen from the photographs these are lovely pieces of furniture.
