In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

In the early Victorian era, watercolour painting gained significant popularity in Britain, with artists focusing on topographical accuracy, pastoral views, and architectural heritage, often influenced by regional movements like the Norwich School.

Artists applied water-based pigments onto woven rag paper using natural hair brushes, building up soft washes and detailed line work to capture light, atmosphere, and architectural detail.

Authentic period pieces typically display age-appropriate characteristics such as subtle paper yellowing, hand-drawn pencil underdrawing, historical framing marks, and period pigment stability.

A pair of historical watercolours can be arranged symmetry-wise above a console table or incorporated into a gallery wall, combining classic dark frames with neutral interior palettes.

Display watercolours away from direct sunlight and high humidity, framing them using UV-protective glass and acid-free mounting materials to prevent discolouration and deterioration.
