Art Deco 0.75 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1940

Description

An exceptional vintage diamond engagement ring. The very bright, white and internally clean old European cut natural diamond in the centre is secured in a four claw square collet with ornate detailing in the gallery, and is flanked by raised shoulders set with six (three each side) old cut diamonds, leading to a slender platinum shank. Platinum with French hallmarks.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR.

Cut:? Old European cut in the centre and old mine cuts in the shoulders.

Colour:? All the diamonds range from F to G.

Clarity:? The centre is VVS2. The side diamonds are VS2 to SI1.

Carat:? The centre is approximately 0.75 carat, with a further approximate 0.05 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:? 1940.

Size:? L (UK) or 5.5(US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:? The centre diamond is 5.85 in diameter and sits 5mm from the finger.

Weight:? 2.96 grams.

Metal:? Platinum. French hallmarks.
