The lid with a centre tablet, mounted with the original gilt brass leaf and shell handle.
The body of bombe shape, mounted with a gilt brass leaf and shell escutcheon plate. The body finished with a rounded boxwood and walnut stringing, as per the lid, and standing on four ogee bracket feet. The interior with a pair of lift out caddies, each boxwood strung, the hinged lids with oval and dotted inlays surrounding the ringed knob handles. The undersides of the lids in burr walnut, with fan inlays.
Date circa 1750.
