A very rare Duesbury & Kean period Derby porcelain teacup and saucer c.1810.�The bucket shaped cup with square handle, boldly decorated all over trompe l''oeil style with a deck of playing cards on a black ground,�the centre with a duty card with the name�WHEELER on the Teacup, the same pattern repated on the saucer but with the duty card with the name HUNT. Crown, crossed batons and D mark in red.Playing card games was a popular pastime in the Georgian era. Favourite games were�Whist,�Cribbage,�Piquet�and Loo.Condition. No damage or restoration to the saucer.
