A very good quality CANTEEN of SILVER-PLATED CUTLERY for twelve settings ~ every piece in virtually mint condition having apparently hardly ever been used. Contained in its original fitted Art Deco period case, the top opens to reveal large knives within the lid with small knives; dinner forks and teaspoons in the upper section. Below are two drawers full of cutlery, the whole service comprising 143 pieces of “Princes” pattern as follows:

12 Dinner Knives ; 12 Small Knives; 12 Dinner Forks; 12 Dessert Forks; 12 Dessert Spoons; 12 Soup Spoons; 12 Teaspoons; 12 Egg spoons; 12 Fish Knives; 12 Fish Forks; 12 Fruit Knives; 12 Fruit Forks; 6 Table Spoons and a 5-piece Carving Set. Phew!

A splendid Canteen of Edwardian cutlery, perhaps ideal as a wedding present that will give decades of use! The case measures: 55 x 37 x 24cms (21.5 x 14.5 x 9.5ins) circa 1925-35.
