~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A stunning original antique French gilt bronze clock by the renown maker Japy Frères. A beautiful Louis XVI classical design, with curved fretted sides, scrolling brackets and a cherub with cymbals sat atop floral swags. A glimpse of the pendulum swinging can be seen through the fret work.

The dial is also gilt bronze with 12 individual enamel cartouches, engraved minute ring and beautifully cut blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Japy Frères. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright, some some slight marks and discolouration. The dial is also very good with just some slight nibbles around the winding holes.
