Antique Metalware Late 17thc / 18thc Multi-reeded Pewter Single Plate By Edward Leapidge 1. English C1699-c1728

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A very good example of an English pewter plate with a multi-reeded cast rim.....it is 9.00 inches in diameter and was made by Edward Leapidge I, who was working in London from 1699 -1728. There is a marriage triad ''C'' over ''AE'' to the front rim along with a rubbed set of hall marks. The reverse of the plate has his touchmark of a crowned rose and one partially rubbed touch mark, as well as a London label.....in excellent condition and pleasing to see the knife marks from previous owners on the front surface....very good natural patination.

English. C1699-C1728.
