Description

A 1970 IWC stainless steel automatic wristwatch. A rare black/grey dial with a light brushed finish. Applied steel numerals, doubled at the quarters. A date aperture to 3 o'clock. Steel hands with a central lume strip and a sweep seconds. 'International Watch Co Schaffhausen' script below 12 o'clock. Signed T Swiss T below 6 o'clock.

A stainless steel case with thick lugs, with multiple champfers to the edges. Original IWC winding crown, showing the 'fish icon'. A snap on case back with inscription. Case reference R 810 A.

The watch is powered by a high quality 21 jewel caliber c. 8541 B IWC automatic mechanism. The 1.9m serial numbers date this watch to 1970.
