The deeper base section having a fielded panelled door with conforming inlay and a useful drawer below with brass cup handles. The cornice has a polished top and retains the original side clips which allow other Globe Wernicke bookcases to be joined. This type of bookcase was often called a" Barristers Bookcase" and advertised as "Always Complete But Never Finished”. Globe Wernicke & Co. label to the bottom cupboard
