~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A superb Baroque style antique French bracket clock. Finely and heavily made in Ormolu (finely gilded bronze), it is formed of fretted panels with profuse decoration. To the top of four beautifully modelled dolphins surrounding a flaming urn. The rear door is also beautifully modelled allowing the clock to be displayed in the round.

The dial is heavily cast in bronze with an armorial motif to the centre and 12 blue porcelain enamel cartouche letters. It is complete with original blued steel hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a gong. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some slight marks and discolouration. The dial is also in superb condition with no damage.
