A gorgeous antique Edwardian amethyst diamond pendant, built around a magnificent amethyst cabochon in the centre, haloed by twinkling old mine cut diamonds around the border and atop the bale (approx. 1.7ct total).
The smooth, polished amethyst weighs approx. 16 carats and has a regal deep-purple hue that glows from within as it catches the light. It’s claw set in a scalloped, milgrain frame, fashioned in 15ct white gold on the front and yellow gold on the back.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. The beautiful amethyst has a high intensity purple hue that is highly sought after and extremely valuable.
This antique pendant dates to the early 1900s and has remained in excellent condition. It boasts a rare and exceptionally beautiful natural amethyst cabochon at its heart that would look perfect on the end of a gold chain.
