Dominating, standing 46 inches tall.
Unique and Bespoke made, housing a 139 piece, full and complete suite of stainless SHEFFIELD steel cutlery by the renowned firm of THOMAS WARD AND sons, SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND. The suite is complete and very likely UNUSED.
The cabinet constructed of the very finest FIGURED WALNUT in true George 1st. style, circa 1720, and with ''in period'' style drop handles. The cutlery section separates from the stand. The sides are serpentine shaped and the whole cabinet is finished all round enabling it to stand ''free'' in a room.
The cabinet of commanding appearance, with wonderful shaped frieze and substantial cabriole legs terminating with claw and ball feet. The stand with vacant oddment drawer and side, ''brushing'' slide trays. A most unusual feature of the cabinet is the periphery corners edged with convex brass line mounts.
Probably made for exhibition purposes and remaining in first class condition, without issues.
