1882 Victorian 15ct Gold Monogram Signet Ring

19th century
Description

A lovely richly coloured little vintage signet-style ring, hallmarked for 15-carat gold, Chester 1882. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

The ring is in very good antique condition, fairly thin, with normal surface wear for its age.

Size: M (UK), approx 6 and a quarter (US). The front plaque measures approximately 7 x 8mm.

Weight: 2.1g.
