Antique Mohajeran Saroukh Carpet Runner

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a fine Mohajeran Saroukh carpet dating from around 1910. Mohajeran carpets were finely woven from the best quality finest lambswool and as such they have excellent detail to the design and a beautifully soft handle. The carpet has a very pretty floral medallion set within a field filled with sprays of blooms and features, pinks, light blues, ivory and cinnamon shades. This is in good order with a nice even pile. Cleaned and ready for use it measures a neat 213 cms by 81 cms.
