Stool with Whittling Knife

Description

The previous stool and this one came from the same farm so possibly started off life at a similar time. This one, however, is a complete one off and worthy of being in a Museum. The blade would have been used for whittling wood before working it or using it in wattle and daub construction. The blade is very similar to a drawknife but turned back to front. As I mentioned before I would prefer the two stools be purchased and kept together and will offer a special consideration to the lucky buyer.
