Matched pair of early C19th Regency period circular gilt-wood framed convex-plate wall mirrors.
Deep cavetto profile frames with applied spherical decoration, having moulded ‘lambs-tongue’ detail inner rings and reeded ebonised slips . Original clear mercury-silvered convex mirror plates .
Minor differences to the applied spaced ‘cross-over’ ribbon-type decoration to the outer rims .
Retaining the original gilded surfaces with only minor losses to gilding on some spheres and edges , having an atmospheric worn ‘country-house’ appeal.
Although a ‘matched’ pair , the frames and mirrors are exactly the same diameter and depth .
A decorative pair of mirrors to provide symmetry to an interior scheme.
