He can be described as a modern British Impressionist in style. Fry was born in London and studied at Watford School of Art under Arthur Scott. However, he spent most of his adult life in Dorset, where he lived and worked from a studio in the village of Corfe Castle. He became known in the area for travelling around on his bicycle, painting the beautiful coastline, heathland and the sea.
