A Regency Drumhead Fusee Dial Wall Clock by James Duncan, London C.1825.

Description

A fine quality Regency 8 day English fusee drumhead timepiece wall clock by James Duncan of 33 Old Bond Street, London circa 1825.

The 14" diameter mahogany veneered drumhead case with a polished cast brass glazed bezel and silvered brass inner sight ring.

The well-proportioned drumhead case with a narrow mahogany dial surround with opening access door to the side and base, which retain the original locks and keys.

The beautifully constructed case in excellent original condition, with a good colour and patination.

The high quality 8 day timepiece fusee movement of excellent quality.

The movement is currently awaiting full restoration by our FBHI horologist and will come with our two year mechanical guarantee when fully overhauled.

The original brass bob pendulum with brass strap.

The 12 " painted white dial with a Roman chapter ring and signed to the centre James Duncan, London, in excellent condition.

Blued steel spade style hands of unusual design.

An excellent quality clock in fine original condition.

All of our clock movements are restored by our horologist who works exclusively for us.

Our horologist is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute (FBHI), having 35 years of full time professional engagement in the repair & restoration of clocks, watches, music boxes & barometers. He was the recipient of the 1977 Worshipful Company of Clockmakers Bronze Medal.
