This is a particularly attractive Tekke Turkman carpet from the Emirate of Bukhara which dates from the early 20th century. The carpet has three rows of eight Tekke guls and has attractive borders and a further lattice decorated border to each end. The wool is really quite soft and lustrous and the carpet has some beautifully vibrant shades of rich red and bright pinks amongst its palette.
