Description

A lovely oak chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. They are made of solid oak with two small over three long drawers. They are excellent quality and each drawer has their original brass swan neck handles and crossbanded border. The top has a moulded edge and the chest stands on bracket feet.

They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. They have developed a wonderful rich patina and have picked up various small knocks, marks and signs of age and use but no major damages. There have been a couple of old repairs to the top moulding and some of the back plates to the handles have been replaced at some point but overall they display very well. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
