Victorian hickory golf club Sunday walking stick or cane.
Know as such as you weren''t allowed to play games on a Sunday in those times
so the canes were made to disguise the purpose they were used for and as a sign of protest.
Hardwood head with a lead weighted to the rear. Decorated to the face with bovine bone and ebony. The head is attached to a hickory shaft with a cast brass ferrule.
Lovely quality and well made.
It measures 96.5 cm 38 inches in length, the club handle is 8.2 cm 3 1/4 inches wide.
It''s in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you''d expect at this age.
No damage or repairs to any part of the cane.
