Meanwhile the young Bacchus sits astride a goat, playing a tambourine, whilst a putti strokes and feeds the goat; a further putti stands holding a dove.
All set upon a rocky outcrop, with a continuous band of moulded rocaille, heightened in gilt.

Modelled after Michel Victor Acier.
Underglaze blue crossed swords mark, and incised model number ‘C59’ to the base.
Height – 39 cm, 15 3/8”.
Width – 23 cm, 9 1/8”.
Condition – Repair to minor chips. Typical firing faults to the underside of the of the base, that do not penetrate the body.
